Plan for the conservation-restoration of the church vaults – Phase I2:
Conservation condition survey; photographic and graphic survey of mason’s marks and setting-out lines (wall with incised drawings); conservation-restoration of stone walls and vaults and stained glass, including cleaning, structural reinforcements, joint treatments and securing of detaching fragments; conservation-restoration of stained glass.

Four Manueline vaults of the north nave; vault over Vasco da Gama’s tomb; north and west walls, staircase leading to the high choir.

Analyses
Laboratory micro-analyses of polychromy samples by the José de Figueiredo Laboratory/Hércules Centre;
Installation of an additional temperature and relative humidity monitoring system inside the church.
