Work Biocidal treatment, cleaning, consolidation, joints repair, localised block replacement, correction of misalignments; treatment of cracks and fractures, treatment of metal elements, conservation of the bell tower (including: waterproofing and correction of slopes, conservation of the bells, treatment of the spire, conservation of the sgraffito plaster on the west façade, conservation and replacement with a replica of the cross and weathervane on the spire), treatment of the tile panel and installation of an electrostatic system for bird deterrence.

Analyses - Characterisation of the original render materials, with in loco experimental tests, to define the restoration mortars’ properties; - The former cathedral of Elvas was part of the Cathedral Project (Characterization and Conservation of Traditional Historical Mortars of Religious Buildings in Alentejo), conducted by LNEC; UÉ; FC-UL and MC-DRE.
R&D Investigation of traditional technical solutions for the formulation and application of mortars with raised joints for the plastering of the pyramid spire.
