R&D The bioconsolidation of a set of soft limestone elements inside the Basilica (7 areas on the access corridor to the South side chapels) was verified and objectively demonstrated via sampling for detection and recount of carbonatogenic bacteria (Granada University); drilling resistance/DRMS tests (LNEC); Karsten tube test; peeling test; and qualitative analysis of salts.
