Biomineralisation of the Arch bas-reliefs in the area selected for testing, showing marble disaggregation, flaking, fractures and material loss; the bioconsolidation efficacy was verified and demonstrated via the sponge test (water absorption) and the peeling test (surface cohesion).

Intervention framed within the PArCo-GREEN project, promoted by the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo. Nova Conservação carried out these tests, with the assistance of researcher José Delgado Rodrigues, for the company Montanelli Restauri, contractor of the intervention for the extraordinary maintenance of the Arch of Septimius Severus.
